One Night in Los Angeles – by Katey Lovell

Original Cover
My own copy

The blurb:

Abbi Devine never expected Hollywood to be like this...

Leaving her small town in northern Maine for Hollywood was always going to be a gamble, but she's finally got her chance- a speaking part as a burlesque dancer in a movie starring A list actor Aaron Halliday.

However, when she's thrown off her stride and ends up in a heap on the floor, Aaron's the one to come to her rescue. There's an undeniable attraction between them which comes as a surprise to Abbi, who has sworn off men following a bad experience.

Is Aaron really the unfeeling playboy the press make him out to be? And can Abbi let go of her past to enjoy her present?

My Opinion:

A famous, sexy actor, who has a bad reputation when it comes to women and a young start-up actress, who was once very popular in high school, now not so much.

Abbi finally got a small speaking role and is really excited about it, but also nervous. Especially because big start Aaron Halliday is the lead actor and he is watching.

The two of them are attracted to each other and one thing leads to another pretty soon, first somewhere backstage and then they go out the same night.

This short story is seamy, sexy, passionate, funny and much more! It’s not just about lust, but also attraction and love! It was interesting to see what sides they bring out in each other, completely different people.

I really loved Abbi and Aaron together, I wish there was more, it ended so fast.

Katey is a very talented author and I really enjoyed this book. It’s very different from her meet cute series, but that’s what makes her a fab author. Can’t wait to read more stories by her.
